Orders
No picture, but here is some news. we finally got our orders. We are leaving for Ramstein Air Base in Germany at the end of the month. We all have some mixed emotions. We are happy to be going to such a cool place, but we are all a bit sad to be leaving Crestview. More to come.

She's home
well, here is one of the promised pictures of Jessica and her cousin on their cruise. They had a good time and got to relax.
While they were relaxing, we had the opportunity to work on the house. The fridge used to be on the other side of the room. we moved it along with the water line and an electric line. We tiled the floor, put trim on the window and doors. put new light fixtures. we are working on the cabinet doors and painting everything. the white on top is what it will look like. then, all we need to do is counter tops.

No vacation
We sure don't write very often do we? This is what is going on in the steele household. Jessica is returning today from the Bahamas. She went on a cruise with her cousin Kathy from Toronto. This is the second cruise the two of them have done. She left Sunday afternoon, driving to Tampa to meet Kathy. The two of them left Tampa on monday for port canaveral. They got back to port yesterday and drove back to Tampa. I expect some pretty good stories. Jess has already told me that they introduced themselves as life partners to their co-cruisers. we should get some pics up soon. If you were wondering, i took leave from work and spent the week with the kids and the in-laws working on the house. We are almost done with the kitchen, we fixed a leak in the roof, and spent a day and a half working on the truck. So, while Jessica was having fun in the sun, it was no vacation here.:-

The Cat's Away
Jessica went to Orlando with some of her girlfriends for Timeout For Women. She left her almost helpless husband alone with the three kids and his in-laws. This could turn out to be a fun two days except dad and grandpa are spending the whole time working on the house. As if that wasn't bad enough, the truck sprung a lead in a break line. I don't know how many of our faithful readers have tried driving with only the parking break and or maybe a tree to stop a good size vehicle...it is just a bit terrifying. It really gets the blood flowing. Then again, if James wasn't in the truck, I might have taken a little joy ride. Just kidding. Did you know that Auto-Zone doesn't sell the aforementioned break line? I have to take off the gas tank, then remove the line. I then have to take it to auto zone where we will measure out all all the appropriate parts to build a new one. Normally when the cat's away the mice will play. Not this time.

Welcome
Well, after months of procrastination we finally made a blog. Here is what is new. We are trying to get everything ready for our move to Germany. The kids and I submitted the paperwork for U.S. passports. Jessica finally submitted her paperwork for her Canadian passport. It took threats of the kids and I leaving without her to get her moving. Jessica's parents are in town...yippy. They are very helpful. we are working on the house currently and i will put some pics here as we get some things done. I can't wait to see who reads this. bye for now.
